How to Volunteer

The Host Tent

Volunteering with Camp Quixote is a fantastic experience.  Just imagine sipping a cup of hot cocoa while chatting with the campers... a great way to get to know the Camp Quixote community!

Shifts at the Host Tent provide the most direct and easiest way to volunteer with the camp.  Volunteer Hosts offer hospitality, good company, and a welcoming presence to the camp members while attempting to satisfy the concerns of the neighborhood where the camp is located. The camp has a system for policing itself, so little is required from the Volunteer Hosts in the way of security. 

To volunteer in the Host Tent:

First, check out the online volunteer schedule, and pick a shift that you would like to fill. 

Then, contact the hosting faith community for the volunteer training schedule (the trainings are brief but thorough). 

Finally, email the volunteer coordinator to request the shift. 

Panza Committee

The Panza Committee is a group of people who do support work for Camp Quixote.  The committee helps find new faith communities to host the camp, does community building work with the camp, and provides logistical support for day-to-day needs.

The Panza Committee is made up of clergy from a variety of faith communities, Camp Quixote members, and supporters from the community.
